Upside Down Forest
Venezia was build on solid bases, these were (and are) long wooden logs, digged into the mud of the lagoon to make the soil firm, piled one aside the other. Wood, sinked into mud, can stand for hundreds of years without getting rotten. This is the secret on which houses and great churches and buildings were built. Many people call these foundations "the upside down forest".
It’s a 2 water colors 25x35 cm (9,8x13,8 inches) poster,
on Fedrigoni Usomano 350 gr/mq white paper,
printed/signed/numbered by hand.
